The Esplanade Association Seeks Interns

Date posted: Thursday, April 7, 2011 4:23 PM

Posted by: Christopher Timmel

Location(s): Boston, MA
The Esplanade Association (TEA), the primary non-profit friends group working to restore and enhance the Charles River Esplanade, is seeking interns for a variety of subject areas. TEA has been working to restore and enhance the Esplanade for ten years, and we’ve made great strides. We’ve fixed crumbling docks, initiated free park programs, organized 15,000 volunteers to maintain and clean the park, advocated successfully for improved park care and accessible connections to the park from the Longfellow Bridge, and raised matching funds for the replacement of the Community Boating Docks. Urban parks like the Esplanade are important, and TEA is helping to create a better park experience. It takes a lot to keep TEA running. If you are interested in marketing, development, programs, park projects, volunteer management, among other things, there are opportunities for you to get involved. Available internship opportunities are: 1. Communications Intern 2. Development Intern 3. Grants Research Intern 4. Volunteer Management Intern Compensation These are unpaid internships, but a weekly stipend will be provided. To Apply Please visit www.esplanadeassociation.org for internship descriptions, and for details for how to apply. Please contact Chris Timmel atctimmel@esplanadeassociation.org with any questions.
